Welcome to ChiWriMo's website! We're the local
chapter of NaNoWriMo,
the writing competition where you bang out a 50k+ word
novel in thirty days!
This year we're excited to be partnering once
again with
Open Books
not only with write-in nights, but also a ChiWriMo first - the
Virtual Book Drive. See the link to the left for more information.
Additionally, we'll be giving away prizes at every ChiWriMo official event you attend his year. Attend an
Open Books write-in for a
chance to win one of several prizes! If you're having trouble connecting to the
NaNoWriMo
site in the first few days of the competition, fret not...the site
overloads each year due to the sheer number of writers all trying to
congregate and commiserate all at once. While you wait for the site
to load, check out
ChiWriMo chat to share writing ideas or mini-word-wars with
local writers. Or, join us at one of the many write-in meet ups
around the city (see the
official
events calendar to find one near you)! |

As we enter week three and set sail for the other
side of November after reaching the midway point this past weekend,
we still have plenty of things left to accomplish!

threw down the gauntlet against other large regions earlier
this month at Open Books write-in on 11/10! Keep working on
